HCItasca is the company that was formed when Hydrologic Consultants Inc. (HCI) and Itasca Consulting Group, Inc. merged on October 1, 1999.

The combined companies provide top-quality consulting services and software products related to the reaction of the geotechnical and hydrological environments to the actions of man. HCItasca's fully-integrated capabilities offer practical tools and solutions to clients in the mining, civil, defense, waste isolation, and petroleum engineering industries.

Itasca also develops, sells, and supports numerical modeling codes that have been designed expressly for the purpose in aiding engineering analyses of geomechanics-related problems. These codes include FLAC, FLAC3D, UDEC, 3DEC, PFC2D, and PFC3D.
